Cue: is a technology that combines Reasoning, Planning, Tool Usage, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation in a language model. When Cue: receives a user query, it uses multi-step reasoning (Multi-Step Reasoning) to plan how NAVER's services can be used to achieve the user's search goals (Planning). By showing this reasoning process to the user, the user can clearly understand the logical flow of why Cue:provides the answer. Cue:then uses NAVER services as tools to carry out the established search plan (Tool Usage) and generates answers based on the search results (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). In the process of generating answers, it selects more reliable results to reduce hallucination (Evidence Selection Process), generates answers so that the factuality of the answers matches the search results (Entailment-Based Factually Consistent Generation), and uses a self-reflection technique in which the model checks its own answers to ensure factual consistency (Self-Reflection) to provide users with answers based on search results with dramatically improved factual consistency (Grounding).
Cue: does not use one large language model, but rather multiple language models of different sizes and capabilities. These language models have been combined into a Modularised LLM Platform to improve efficiency and speed up responses by only triggering the parts of the model that are essential to satisfy the user's search intent, rather than having the entire model running continuously for every user request. And these Modularised LLMs are trained end-to-end at the Platform-Level using user satisfaction as a reward signal, which makes Cue: different from other generative LLM services that use plug-ins.
Cue: is a new AI search service launched by NAVER for a new search experience. Cue: is an AI-generated search service that combines language models with reasoning, search planning, tool usage, and retrieval-augmented generation technologies to provide effective search results in sentences by summarising information from NAVER's verticals, and provides an expanded search experience through a new interface. It provides results that best suit your search intentions based on your search service usage patterns and connects various NAVER services to help you search. As it is an interactive service based on your questions, the content provided by Cue:may vary depending on the intent and content of your question.
Due to the nature of the generative AI technology utilised by Cue:, there is a possibility that it may provide inaccurate or misleading information. NAVER does its best to ensure that the search service provides the information you want, but you should use your own judgement to decide whether or not to use the information provided. In addition, if you believe that there is inaccurate information while using the service, you should provide feedback through the user feedback function on the right side of the Cue: answer window.
